From language to 🎵. “The Pittsburgh-based tech company currently has a small team working on a music product and is hiring a learning scientist who is an ‘expert in music education who combines both theoretical knowledge of relevant learning science research and hands-on teaching experience.’” Crazy how they have over 500 million users…

AMAZON:

Tech layoffs remain the trend in 2023. “Amazon is laying off another 9,000 workers, according to a memo to employees CEO Andy Jassy sent to workers on Monday. The employees affected by the cut include those in roles in AWS, Twitch, advertising, and human resources.” When will these big-tech layoffs end?!

GOOGLE:

Just when we thought G-docs and G-mail couldn't get any better. “Google announced a laundry list of new generative AI capabilities and features for developers, through a PaLM API and in Google Cloud, as well as new integrations for users of Google Workspace, including in Gmail and Google Docs.” Google staying up-to-date with the times.

tiktok:

The app has been banned on government devices in the United Kingdom. “Britain’s move follows similar rules in the U.S. and European Union. In late February, the White House gave government agencies 30 days to make sure TikTok was not installed on federal devices. The European Commission, the EU’s executive arm, also banned employees from installing TikTok on corporate and personal devices.” 👇️
