In the year 2024, being a good communicator goes beyond person-to-person interaction.

We are communicating more than ever with non-human entities, whether it be search engines, customer service bots, or - the focus of today’s Crossover Content - large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.

But from the outside looking in, it seems like with AI, anything is possible: we can use it to plan and reimagine cities, decipher ancient scrolls, and even find our perfect puppy partner!

👎 EVIL: This might be a bit strong, but we couldn’t think of a better word. We’ve got North Korea using it for “nefarious purposes;” companies using it to monitor employee communications for “thought crimes;” and criminals using it for massive heists.

When considering its criminal potential, two questions come to mind:

1. Can anything be done to protect us from Evil AI?

2. If not, how might it affect this and all future elections?
