What the heck do I need to know about Passive Income?

Short and Sweet: Letā€™s start with what it is: itā€™s income earned without actively, continuously working for it.

Why It Matters: Because itā€™s a key piece of building wealth and achieving the quality of life you long for.

šŸ’” Here are 3 of the most popular passive income ideasā€¦if you want more, click that button at the end of the section.

  1. Sell Digital Products: Whether it be a course, PDF, e-book etc. this is the type of product where you can make the asset once, and then you can sell it repeatedly via your website or online business.

  2. Sell Handmade Goods: Think Amazon, Etsy, or Shopify on where you can sell your goods. A great one to pursue if you are crafty and are looking for a way to make more.

  3. Become a Blogger: You can earn passive income through your blog by selling affiliate products, creating sponsored posts, or running ads.

Cool Communicator šŸ§

Communicating with YOURSELF to Boost Creativity and Productivity:

Communication with others is vitally important, especially in the business world, but what about communicating with ourselves?

This article from Psychology Today offers 4 phrases you should speak (or think) to yourself consistently in order to develop fresh perspective, tackle problems, and learn from failure.

TL;DR:

  1. ā€œWhat ifā€¦ā€ - The most fundamental of creativity-boosting questions.

  2. ā€œI donā€™t understandā€¦ā€ - Inevitably leads to exploration, learning, and self-improvement.

  3. ā€œHow can we do this differently?ā€ - Opens up a world of possibilities and outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving.

  4. ā€œWhat failures did I have today?ā€ - Hindsight is 20/20 and, when applied to our own shortcomings, can make us better moving forward.

If youā€™re in a rut, need new ideas, and/or have complex problems to solve, use the gems from this article and talk to yourself!

Major Moves šŸ—žļø

 ā˜•ļø STARBUCKS:

ā€œTriple Shot Reinventionā€ plan barely mentions coffee.

Midjourney

Starbucks has a new CEO who plans to take the coffee company to the next level. Oddly enough, coffee is a shockingly-small part of the plan. ā€œTriple Shot Reinvention will focus on three priorities: elevating the Starbucks brand, strengthening the companyā€™s digital capabilities, and becoming truly global.ā€

The word coffee is mentioned in the plan, which was published late last week, only 8 times while all-day breakfast and snacks play a more prominent role.

 šŸ¤ bumble:

Bumble is buzzing over their new CEO.

Midjourney

The CEO and founder of dating app Bumble is stepping down, and she has tabbed her replacement: former Slack CEO Lidiane Jones. ā€œJones secured the top job at Slack earlier this year after hold other executive positions at Salesforce and spending more than a decade at Microsoft.ā€

Only time will tell if the change can help Bumble, whose stock is down 35% YTD.

 šŸ¦¾ practica:

AI-driven career coaching and mentorship because, why not?

Midjourney

The whole point of AI, at least from an idealist point-of-view, is to make our lives easier. And life gets easier when work gets easier. Enter Practica: ā€œThe company, which evolved out of a marketplace for one-on-one executive coaching, has now launched anā€¦AI chatbot experience [that] functions as a personalized workplace mentor and coach that can aid professionalsā€ in better the following skills:

  • Management

  • Sales

  • Marketing

  • Data

  • Design

  • Finance

ā€¦and more. You can check out their website here.

šŸ“½ļø agentio:

YouTubers take more control of their ad sales.

Midjourney

Every day, it seems to get better and better for content creators, and Agentio aims to keep that train rolling with a platform for content creators to sell advertising. ā€œThe situation is grimā€¦even large creators are only selling 10 to 25% of available ad slots.ā€

If Agentio has its way, that number will increase significantly, and the result will be even more $$$ for content creators.

Food For Thought šŸ’

2 Do This Week šŸ’”

1) Check On Your Habits:

Looking back and checking in on your habits for the year is important for growth.

Speaking of habits, build better habits with tips and inspiration below. Read is 3 mins every Tuesday (cough cough today) and is 100% free.

2) Immerse Yourself in Fall Foliage:

Before trees lose all their leaves, be sure to get outside and enjoy the vibrant colors of nature only available during autumn.

If you live somewhere with at least three seasons, this may be as simple as stepping outside for a few minutes each day; for those that reside in a warmer climate, consider a short getaway before itā€™s too late.
