Why You Should Take Advantage of Amazon Prime Day(s)
Short and Sweet: Prime Day is here July 16th and 17th - it’s like the Black Friday of summer. Not much else to say other than - you’re gonna buy things on Amazon, anyway. Why not take advantage of the savings?
Why It Matters: Because it’s more money in your pocket!
Breaking Down: The Benefits of Amazon Prime Day
Savings, Duh: This is probably the one reason haha. It’s the time to grab that pricey gadget you’ve been waiting for. From tech to home decor, everything’s up for grabs at prices that won’t be there the next time you look. (Remember, though - only buy things you would buy anyway. To me, it shouldn’t be an excuse for frivolous spending…)
Early Christmas Gifts, Anyone!? Take full advantage of the deals by planning ahead - upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, even Christmas! More than saving money, you’ll feel relief when those gift-giving occasions roll around that you’ve already done your shopping.
Workin With AI 🦾
Let’s begin the way we usually do when discussing AI - if you’re interested in deeper dives into the world of artificial intelligence, we strongly recommend Superhuman. It is the main way we at OTF stay informed on a topic that, let’s face it, will soon take over the world.
In their most recent edition, a sponsor was a tool called Fathom. Here’s the write-up:

Step 1: Start here.
Step 2: Log in with Google or Microsoft account.
Step 3: Give permissions to access calendars
It’s all pretty self-explanatory, to the point where you almost certainly didn’t need those first three steps 🤣
But it’s FREE (and promises to stay that way - we’ll see if that holds true) and estimates saving 20 minutes of work per meeting. WIN-WIN!
The Search Bar 📊
As of 10:00 AM on Sunday, 7/14:
MOST POPULAR PRODUCT ON AMAZON (July 2024): FIRE PITS - It’s been pretty hot everywhere, but this is a prime opportunity to plan ahead for those soon-to-arrive cool summer nights. For more hot items and top retail news, click here.
MOST INNOVATIVE COMPANIES (posted 6/20/24): This post ranks the five most innovative companies in the world, with OpenAI leading the way and Meta rounding out the Top 5.
One of the reasons we do The Search Bar is because knowing what’s popular or trending can help spark ideas for the next innovation, whether that’s a product or a business, but we can also learn from the companies at the forefront of this pursuit. Click above to do just that.
TRENDING DEALS (updates regularly): Visit Dealnews.com for the top trending deals from across the Internet. At the time of this writing, the Samsung AI Smart Ring is calling out to me…

2 DO: Prime Day Edition 🤔
Before you go crazy smashing Add to Cart, consider the following:
1. Plan Out Your Prime Day Purchases
We are all about responsible spending here. We also understand the temptation that presents itself on Prime Day, Black Friday, etc. So this week, before you go on a spree, take the time to reflect on what you need and what’s at the top of your wants, and then act accordingly. Going in with a plan will help you make responsible decisions.
2. Review Your Finances
In the past, we’ve talked about regular “audits” of your bank accounts, credit cards, etc. If you haven’t done that recently, we strongly recommend doing so prior to any big-deal spending.
Don’t just look at what you’ve recently spent, or the amount that’s sitting in your account. Be sure to also consider upcoming expenses (bills, planned vacations, etc.)
Before You Go

See you then!
