This company just raised $150 million to pursue their goal of creating personalized chatbots. “The company seeks to provide ‘everyone on Earth with their own AI…’” For those keeping score, that’d be 7.9 BILLION bots!

TWITTER:

They’ve had a lot of problems lately, and now some of their source code was leaked?!? “The leak creates more challenges for billionaire Elon Musk, who bought Twitter last October for $44 billion…since then, it has been engulfed in chaos, with massive layoffs and advertisers fleeing.” At least he still has a sense of humor…

waveone:

This company developed AI algorithms for compressing video, and now they’ve been acquired by Apple. What’s in it for the tech giant? “Well, the obvious answer is more efficient streaming.” Sounds good to us!

DISNEY:

Even the Magic Kingdom can’t avoid layoffs. 7,000 to be exact. “The cuts are part of a wider restructuring plan…that’s intended to save the company billions of dollars.” Disney had a rough 2022, losing over $120 billion of its market value.
